Hoppers Operations / Dispatch office and Maintenance facilities keep Hoppers current fleet of five Chevrolet Astro Vans and one 20 and one 28 passenger buses running on time and safely.
Hoppers Designated Drivers is a unique transportation service dedicated to keeping drunk drivers off our highways. We base our rates on a flat rate rather than time, mileage or metered rates. We transport people from home to bar, bar to bar, bar to home, and to and from classes, counseling, community service, and work. We provide a safe means of transportation to and from parties, concerts or any other social events and or functions. Our flat rate includes a short courtesy stop along the way at no extra cost, and there is no extra charge for traffic delays. Our goal is to provide our customers with affordable rates, with Safe Polite Prompt and Courteous drivers. In clean and comfortable safe vans.
Each driver is subject to a thorough background check, receives a one-week training course and is cross-trained and evaluated for performance and safety throughout his or her employment.
Mr. Casto acquired Hoppers in April of 2001 intending to continue serving the Melbourne, Palm Bay and Beach areas. The enthusiastic support from law enforcement agencies and the patrons of bars, and the positive response from local social events. Suggests that with proper planning the HOPPERS DESIGNATED DRIVER concept could continue throughout the County, State and even the Country, with continued planning and diligence.
Another important ingredient of our success is our sponsors. Sponsors are necessary for us to maintain our reasonable rates. Our current sponsors are fully aware of our value to them as well as to our customers.
Our sponsors receive a great deal of advertising on our vans and in our numerous flyers and promotions. There is also the added incentive of reduced rates for their company’s Patrons and functions.
